This city is very accessible, probably because there is such constant renovation going on. I'd suggest choosing a hotel on the strip so you can get to everything. I have had good experiences with Treasure Island and The MGM Grand. Pick a hotel based on the best price you can find for your travel dates and plan to visit the others to enjoy their unique features. For instance, The Venetian is worth a look, but it is generally more expensive to stay there. The casinos are large and carpeted, so it might be more difficult if you don't have a power chair or a friend who doesn't mind pushing. The sidewalks are generally smooth, though often crowded, but a few of the curb cuts are bumpy. The Monorail sounds like a great idea for getting from one casino to the next, but it ends up being really expensive. For trips from one end of the strip to another, cabs are your best bet. You should be able to find a high quality hotel on the strip for under $100 a night.
